CAMP KEE-MO-KEE
50th Anniversary Pictures - July 3, 2010
These are pictures from the Anniversary open house and dinner held on July 3, 2010. People parked over at the Wales' farm and had a wagon ride over to the camp. Lots of old friends and children gathered around the quad and the main camp buildings to view displays and memorabilia. The 2010 camp staff helped look after the displays, and lead games and tours.

Here's some of the people that attended the open house. There were people from every decade of the camp's history in attendance, and in particular a group of staff members that worked together in the 1970's. Some people took the opportunity to cool off with a dip in the pool.

There were some offical ceremonies with local dignitaries in attendance. This included the Mayor of Middlesex Center Al Edmonston, MPP Maria Van Bommel, and MP Bev Shipley.

Part of the ceremonies also included planting a red oak tree in the quad. This tree was dedicated for the 50th anniversary and several people lent a hand in digging the hole and filling it in. It is our hope that his tree may flourish and grow over the camp for the next 50 years and beyond.

After the open house finished up, the celebration moved to the Komoka Community Center for a raost beef dinner and entertainment. The dinner was put on by Donna, who was the camp cook for many years. The entertainment included music, the Great Camtini (which was done by former camp directors Cam Brown and Bill Stevens), and a magic show.
